How Harry Potter Will End - The Deathly Hallows

The world now knows the title of the final book in Harrypotter series. Its “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.” .

Some Interesting questions regarding the upcoming book are:

1) Does Wormail have a role to play in the end, like Gollum did in the Lord Of The Rings trilogy?

2) Why did Dumbledore smile when he learnt that Voldemort had used Harry's blood to regain his body and that He Who Must Not Be Named could now touch Harry?

3) Who is R A B? Is he Sirius's brother Regulus Black?( How Rowling said, 'no comment' when asked if anyone else was present when Voldemort killed Harry's parents and tried to kill the boy wizard. How R A B, the initials of the mysterious character who is also hunting the Dark Lord's soul secrets, changed in the Dutch translation of the novel, where Regulus Black is called Regulus Zwarts and the initials read R A Z. In the Norwegian edition, apparently, Regulus has the surname Svaart, and the initials R A S. In the Finnish translation, Regulus Black is called Regulus Musta, and the initials are R A M.)

4) Is Snape evil incarnate or an infiltrator?

How Harry Potter Will End - The Deathly Hallows

A possible plot forward:

“Deathly Hallows” may be the name for the magic by which Harry became protected from Lord Voldemort when Lily died for him out of love. Lily’s performed a “deathly hallowing” of Harry, making him immune to Voldemort’s powers. In Book 7, Harry will learn this magic, and devise a way to use it so that he, Harry, is killed by Voldemort. The key: Harry’s deathly hallow will be on behalf of the entire world, rendering the entire world immune to Voldemort’s power.

The beauty of this is that, in Book 4, when Voldemort used Harry’s blood to reincarnate himself, he undid the protection provided to Harry by Lily’s original Deathly Hallow. Voldemort can now kill Harry, allowing Harry the chance to die on behalf of everyone, leaving Voldemort helpless. This is why Dumbledore smiled upon hearing that Voldemort used Harry’s blood: Dumbledore understood that Voldemort, in his wanton determination to destroy Harry (mostly out of vanity), had opened the door for Harry to defeat him with the one weapon he could not wield: Love.

That’s one way how it’s going to end. It’s the probable prognostication to end all prognostications.

Background: When floods drowned central and south Gujarat last fortnight, 202 persons died. Essential services like electricity and telephones shut down, houses collapsed, roads caved in and farm crops went under water. People were stranded on trains, on roads and at home for day. Above picture has brought an ugly fact to the light. Every right thinking Indian needs to ponder whether the present recruitment procedure of civil service which emphasises merely on scores rather than their emotional intelligence and social quotient(the extent to which one empathise with society and the attitude towards service) is boon or bane to our nation.

Will U.S Navy change its course to save whales?

Many species of whales, porpoises and dolphins use sonar waves to communicate, navigate and hunt. These species are abundant in Atlantic where military and exploratory exercises too abound. Here is a catch. Unfortunately sonar is also used for military and exploratory purposes in the deep seas. According to environmentalists, this is a portent to disaster, to 71 kinds of cetaceans.

The United Nations Environment Programme and Convention on Migratory Species has listed the Beluga whale, the Blanville's beaked whale and Goosebeak whale as seriously at risk because of sonar usage. Other studies have shown that the beluga whale may also be affected by the sounds caused by ice breaking ships. Low frequency sounds travel huge distances and this can cause the sound-dependent animals to be disoriented. Some animal protection groups have also argued that excessive sonar usage causes bleeding from the eyes and ears, as seen in the 2002 tests on the bodies of seven whales, which found haemorrhages and inner ear damage attributed to the use of low frequency sonar. The U.S. Navy, which was sued by a coalition of environmental groups,said it was studying the problem and that sonar was essential for national defence. So one only hopes that U.S Navy comes up with a suitable alternative and meanwhile, waves with different frequency, will be used to save cetaceans.

Gay Marriage Legalisation Boon or Bane?

For Britain’s gay partners the moment they had been waiting for arrived on (Dec. 5 2005) when a progressive law that would grant them virtually the same legal rights as are enjoyed by married heterosexual couples came into force ending centuries old discrimination against same-sex couples. Hundreds of gay partners across the country rushed to register under the Civil Partnership Act paving the way for a marriage after a two-week “cooling off” period. The first of gay marriages are expected as early as December 19 and, according to a BBC survey, at least 1,200 same-sex couples had already “scheduled” their weddings. Among the celebrities who have announced plans to tie marital knots are Elton John and his partner David Furnish. The law will allow gay partners to inherit each other’s property and claim financial support in the event of the dissolution of their partnership. Like married couples, they will also have to go through a “divorce” process. The gay wedding market is estimated to be worth pound 600 million, according to a survey.

In outward it may seem progressive, but morally its regressive. For nothing all religions prohibit same-sex marriage. It may provide succour to both partners initially but this will prove disastrous to society as a whole.

Iraq Quagmire

This ongoing war waged by world's most irresponsible and at the sametime most powerful leaders on Iraq is devoid of any moral, ethic or value. This war as of today has killed more than 500 civilians and the toll is certain to mount. This war has to be condemned with unequivocal words. The good solution to invasion or aggression is the smacking defeat to aggressor.

The coterie around American president is making belligerent stand in this war to spread their hegemony.

This will surely backfire and in future American will be paying heftily for violating international norms today. Now the legitimacy to "war against Terrorism" has lost and it has become purely a humbug.

The Americans have ulterior motives:
1) to install a puppet government in Iraq so that they can violate its oil resources.
2) to make the middle-east region more volatile so that they can help israel in containing suicide bombings.
3) to give contracts for American companies in reconstruction of the war -ravaged nation.
4) to boost the defence industry of America.

Peace-loving and Nuetral people today feel desperate against this aggression and they pray for sanity to prevail.

ADIEU TO CONCORDE FIRST SUPERSONIC PLANE ON THE EARTH.

In the previous month of October the world’s first supersonic jet flight Concorde was Grounded by British Airways. It flew last on October 24 from New York to London. It was rueful and lugubrious event for those associated with the jet but it was champagne time for the antagonists of the jet. The real reason for grounding the jet was ballooning costs and dwindling income, but the antagonists regale for another reason that they could Live in peace without the thunderous roar of the engine.

It is ironical that even after its emergence in 1974 there is no replacement for supersonic Jet plane. As far as I know this could be cited as the best example where human kind retraced to the conventional model rather than sophisticated technology. We have returned to sub-sonic planes after experiencing a long stint of 34 years with super-sonic planes that fly with double the velocity of sound.

Its time to bid adieu to Concorde and hopefully wait for technology to get moulded to have such swifter planes in future.
